Keywords in URLs help a lot - e.g. - http://domainname.com/affordable-seo-services.html, where “Affordable SEO services” is the keyword phrase you attempt to rank well for. But if you don't have the keywords in other parts of the document, don't rely on having them in the URL.

<Description> metatag
Meta tags are becoming less and less important but if there are meta tags that still matter, these are the <title> and <description> ones. Use the <Description> meta tag to write the concise description of your page (200-500 characters at the max including spaces ). Seamlessly integrate your targeted keywords in it. Besides the fact that meta tags still rock on MSN and Yahoo!, the <Description> meta tag has one more advantage – it pops in the description of your site in search results as short snippet.
